A few weeks ago I took the challenge to clean out two closets over the weekend. The first was Micah’s. I went through his clothes and all the stuff I was keeping in his closet. I didn’t get much done, but realized that he would not need the baby stuff that is monogrammed.
So….I put an ad on Craigslist that say “Free if Your Name is Micah.” I received a response in an hour. She had a Micah (a BOY Micah—even better!) and would love the black Babystyle diaper bag with Micah embroidered on the front in red.
We started emailing about a time and place for delivery. I checked out her photography website and asked if she was a graphic artist. I was looking for help with the marketing materials for this ministry. We knew in two emails that the post was not random.
She knew what it was like to suffer a miscarriage. She suffered five. She has two precious children, but carrying them to term was no easy task. She knew what it was like to rely on God with all your might and pray a mother’s prayer.
Meeting her could not have come at a better time for me. I was having doubts about this ministry. I was exhausted just thinking about what needed to be done and didn’t know where I would find the time or energy to make it happen.
I received affirmation by meeting her and by emails received by women who “stumbled” upon this blog. I’ve not advertised it, so am not even sure how they found it. Good thing I left some details to the Master Planner!
